Until the 30th of September we are generally boarding from outside Heritage of Scotland, 459-461 Lawnmarket, EH1 2NT, unless stated otherwise. We will be back here on the 17th of September.
This is located directly opposite of our standard departure point by Deacon’s House Café and is due to one-way east-bound traffic being implemented on the Lawnmarket during the busier summer months.

Outside Cafe Andaluz Old Town, 10-11 George IV Bridge, EH1 1EE
Due to road closures, from 13th of September to the 17th of September we are departing from 10-11 George IV Bridge, outside Café Andaluz Old Town.
This is just around the corner (approximate 3-minute walk) from our original departure point at the Lawnmarket.
The nearest bus stops is “Victoria Street”.

Johnston Terrace, 25 Johnston Terrace, EH1 2NH
On the 12th of September we will use Johnston Terrace as our departure point. This is a short walk away from our normal departure point on the Lawnmarket.
Due to a film shoot taking place in locations around Edinburgh Old Town.

Getting to the meeting point
Our departure point is always easily accessible by foot and public transport. Many of the local bus lines stop nearby, or a short walk away. You can use the travel planner for local buses on Lothian buses website. The nearest bus stop is dependent on where you are coming from.
The tram line route and stops are available on Edinburgh Tram’s website. The nearest stop to our departure points is ‘Princess Street’, an approximate 10-15 minute walk away from the the Old Town.
When using public transport or taxi services to make your way to departure point, please allow enough time to account for delays. We are unable to wait for late arriving passengers, due to the impact this has on other passengers and the tour as a whole.
Outside Deacon's House Cafe - 304 Lawnmarket, EH1 2PS
Our standard meeting point is just a short walk away from Edinburgh Castle, and accessible on foot, using public transport (bus or tram) or by taxi. This departure point is currently impacted by traffic changes and road closures, which means that we until Summer 2025 will not be departing from this location. If you are joining us on tour during the summer of 2025, further information will be available closer to the date of your departure.
